Hanoi overview

Ha Noi is  the capital of Viet Nam, located in Red River Delta. It has become the country's political, cultural center and considered to play a vital role in economy and international trade. Hanoi has a 1000-year history when king Ly Cong Uan moved the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La under the name of Thang Long.  Furthermore, Hanoi is well- known as a place with many  famous tourist attractions in Vietnam. Come to Hanoi, you’ll have a opportunity to cross  crowded roads  and riding a motorbike,  is a totally new and kind of horrified experience. However getting used to it, one may feel exciting and feel like a local with your head held highlands relaxing. In addition, there is no doubt that street vendors is known as a part of Vietnamese souls. Street vendors can be roughly divided into three groups: those who constantly move around either by bike or on foot, those have a stable stand on a street and lastly, those who own a shop and expand their products on the pavement. Products vary as widely as needs call for. In general, fruits, flowers and domestic products are the most common goods.  And   you will have chance to try the street food.

Sightseeing in hanoi

Hoan kiem lake considered as the heart of Ha Noi, situated inside a complex of Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and Pen Tower in the surroundings. Unique point of Hoan kiem Lake is not only its look as a romantic beautiful picture, but also the root of many stories associated with the birth and existence of Hanoi past and present.

The Old Quarter , situated near Hoan Kiem lake  in Hoan Kiem district, is one of Hanoi’s major commercial district. The quarter developed into a gigantic network of street market where a large number of handicrafts products were made and sold. The outstanding features to make this area so special is the name of each street is attached to a product, which was sold on that street. The Old Quarter have products from around the country, designed by many top artists and craftsmen. Popular items that make fine souvenirs include lacquer ware, silk products, embroidered fabrics and bags, conical hats, coffee beans and paintings.

The Temple of Literature: The symbol of knowledge, Vietnamese education, is the first university in Vietnam. The Temple of Literature was constructed in 1070 during Ly dynasty to honor Confucius. The stone steles at Van Mieu, which are inscribed with the names of 2,313 doctorate holders who passed the court examinations between 1442-1779, were also recognised as World Documentary Heritage by UNESCO Memory of the World Committee for Asia and Pacific.

Tran Quoc Pagoda is one of the oldest Buddhist Temple in Hanoi, located in Ba Dinh district - Hanoi. In 2017, it was listed into the 16 most beautiful temples in the world voted by the daily mail newspaper.

Hoa Lo prison is full of French architecture. The French colony built in 1896 with the aim of becoming the central prison for both the North and the South of Vietnam. The prisoners mainly were ones, Vietnam patriots fighting against colonial authorities. The French colony initially constructed the prison on the purpose of being a political prison, killing the patriot spirit of Vietnam revolutionary soldiers.  It was one of the most fortified structures in Indochina at that time. Therefore, today it has become a special historical site with many valuable documents on display and in good care.

Water puppetry is a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. The themes of the shows are very familiar to Vietnamese people. They focus on the daily life of farmers and common aspects of Vietnamese spiritual life. Water puppet show become one of a must – watch show in Vietnam.

Food

If you come across a question about a special thing in Hanoi, the answer might always be street food. Our food shows the true color of Vietnamese tradition.

Bun cha is a well-known local food in Hanoi. It is made of grilled pork and noodle, often thought to have been originated from Hanoi, Vietnam. This dish is served with grilled fatty pork (cha) over a plate of white rice noodle (bun) and herbs with a side dish of dipping sauce.
Pho is already a so famous food of Vietnam. it has featuring smell and taste that we cannot find anywhere else. Pho has three components: broth, rice noodles, and meat (usually beef or chicken). It is also accompanied by a plate of herbs.
