Datanla Waterfall - Dalat
Datanla waterfall is one of the famous attractions in Dalat. Visitors not only have the opportunity to admire the majestic and gorgeous waterfall among the lush forest but also experiences interesting adventure activities.
Being far about 10 km from the centre of Dalat, waterfall brings the typical beauty of forest waterfall but not too wild. The cascade falls from a height of 20 m before disappearing through black rock layers scattered along the stream.
To get to the waterfall, visitors are able to walk through 200 stone steps, contemplate the picturesque pine forest and enjoy the fresh and cool air of the flower city. Furthermore, you can conquer the waterfall by roller coaster which is an only one system of Dalat city. The roller coaster has 1000 m long, having the sensor brakes to reduce speed and keep the safe distance between each one.
According to legend, Datanla is a waterfall that fairies bathed because of the clear water covered by many layers of leaves, so it is called “fairy stream”. Afterwards, ethnic minorities discovered a waterfall and called the name “DaTam Nha” which means ‘water under the leaves”. Finally, it has changed to Datanla which became officially name until today.
If you feel adventurous, Datanla waterfall is the best destination to participate in the thrilling outdoor activities such as abseiling, water slides, cliff jumping, hiking and swimming.
